The short version
- Use Moonbeam for your own family. Don't upload someone else's voice without their consent.
- Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. Cancel anytime from Settings.
- Per-story credits don't expire while your account is active.
- If your first story isn't magical, email us within 24 hours for a no-questions refund.
- You own your stories. We license a copy to host and narrate them for you.
Who can use Moonbeam
Moonbeam is intended for adults aged 13 and older (16+ in the EU/UK). Children may listen to the audio output, but accounts are created and managed by a parent or other adult caregiver. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Moonbeam to:
- Clone someone's voice without their explicit, informed consent.
- Impersonate a real person whose voice you don't have rights to.
- Generate content that is harmful, deceptive, hateful, or sexually explicit, especially anything involving minors.
- Bypass the rate limits or quotas of your plan, or attempt to abuse the free-tier credit.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.
Billing & refunds
Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly, in USD via Stripe. Per-story purchases are billed at checkout. Gift purchases are charged at checkout and the recipient redeems via the link we email them.
Refund policy: If your first story isn't a magical experience, email us within 24 hours of the charge and we'll refund every cent — no forms, no questions. For subsequent charges, we still take refund requests seriously and will look at the situation if you reach out within 7 days.
Cancelling a subscription stops future billing immediately. The current paid period stays active until its end date, then your account drops back to per-story (if you have credits) or free.
Service availability
We provide Moonbeam as-is, without warranty of uninterrupted availability. We rely on third-party services (Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Vercel, Resend) and an outage in any of them can affect Moonbeam. We'll communicate transparently about issues and reach out if a story you paid for couldn't be generated.
